Meet Captain Turbo, the masked superhero who races his very own Formula 1 car! This amigurumi crochet pattern makes a cuddly, display-worthy F1 race car with an original caped superhero driver sitting in the cockpit. It makes a show-stopping gift for little racing fans and superhero lovers.
The car has a long tapered nose, sidepods, a protective halo, chunky tyres with silver hubs, and front and rear wings with crisp white trim. Captain Turbo has a brown hair cap, a black domino mask, a red suit with a yellow lightning bolt and a red cape that flies back over the engine cover.
Everything is worked in simple single crochet, and every round lists its exact stitch count, so you always know you are on track.

FINISHED SIZE Approx. 28 cm long x 20 cm wide x 11 cm tall to the top of the rear wing (11 x 8 x 4.3 in), using DK / light worsted yarn and a 3.0 mm hook.
SKILL LEVEL Adventurous beginner. If you can make a magic ring, sc, inc and dec, you can make this car.
YOU WILL NEED
- DK / light worsted (CYC 3) cotton-acrylic yarn in royal blue, black, white, silver grey, red, peach, brown and a scrap of yellow
- 3.0 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, stitch markers, pins
- Fiberfill, plastic canvas circles and chenille stems (optional, leave them out for very young children)
